WHAT IS A MOBILITY HUB?

Mobility hubs are places in a community that bring together public transit, bike share, car share and other ways for people to get where they want to go. They are meant to be easy, affordable, and accessible to many people.

There’s no catch. TransForm runs this site and our goal is to make sure everyone has access to transportation services. So feel free to sign up!

WHO ARE THE PARTNERS?

The Car Sharing and Mobility Hubs in Affordable Housing Pilot Project is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment — particularly in disadvantaged communities.

MOBILITY HUBS GOALS AND PRINCIPLES

While mobility hubs’ services like, bikeshare, carshare, scooter share, and electric car charging, are available in many locations throughout the Bay, they don’t serve all neighborhoods. We seek to advance access to mobility hubs’ services. And we believe true mobility is about making sure services and infrastructure are available in often-forgotten neighborhoods -- ones where the majority of neighbors are working-class families and people of color.

GOAL 1: ENROLLMENT

Enroll residents into regional mobility discount programs and mobility hubs services (i.e., transit passes, Lyft rideshare program)

GOAL 3: COMMUNITY

Provide a welcoming space for residents of all ages to engage with one another and work together to conceptualize residents’ understanding of a mobility hub

GOAL 2: ACCESS + EDUCATION

Increase access and education to local and regional mobility options and community services (i.e., banking services, mutual aid)
